![]() You can't tell me you think that's intended.Focus your strength to gain Major Brutality and Sorcery, increasing your Weapon and Spell Damage by 20%, as well as gaining Minor Endurance, increasing your stamina recovery by 15% for 20 seconds. I intend to go back into Cyrodiil more today, if this happens again I won't miss the chance to record it this time.Īgain, I don't fully understand where the exploit with this skill truly lies, but it has become fairly obvious that something is wrong when one player can kill 20+ people by crouching and pressing two buttons. I don't know how much truth there is to the idea that it pulls you out of stealth upon proc either, because I assure you I saw nearly entire groups of my alliance drop dead when setting foot in the giant AoE and all I hear in area chat is "What the fuck is Camouflaged Hunter!?" Sure, the "900 + 5.6k damage" you claim it ticked for itself is rather moderate damage, but it doesn't only tick once if the player is constantly sitting there spamming Camo Hunter while people walk through their Caltrops and fall over dead. That aside, however, the whole point of the post wasn't to claim that Camouflaged Hunter ITSELF was OP, rather that the combination of it with Caltrops was OP because something is broken. While what you say is true, there must still be something that isn't functioning correctly with the skill, as I was running with entire zergs into a keep and every player who set foot in the AoE of the Caltrops thrown by this specific player was insta-nuked, and surely not everyone was a Vampire/Transformed WW (although admittedly I am a Vampire myself.) Death screen shows "Camouflaged Hunter ~5k" all down the screen.Īnd please don't say "well just don't stand in the Caltrops." Using this method can effectively lock an entire team out of a keep that they just sieged unless this player is killed, which is impossible since Camo Hunter never pulls you out of stealth while casting. This has to be a bug, because I ran into a player using it multiple times throughout these last two days, and every time I would be revived in the Caltrops, I would fall right back down. ![]() When combining Camo Hunter's huge bonus damage and with Caltrops' several ticks of low damage, EVERY SINGLE TICK of Caltrops' damage will apply Camo Hunter's damage (if you have it active), and it will nuke you INSANELY fast. Go figure.) On the other hand, while standing in Caltrops' area of effect, you receive multiple ticks of damage that was intended to be low (~300-600 per tick of damage). The way Camo Hunter works is that while activated, any damage dealt while in stealth will deal the x bonus damage (which will amount to around 4.5k non-crit with a max stamina build and can be much higher with a crit, especially due to the innate 20% added just by slotting this particular skill. This player (won't mention any names) would throw Caltrops on the ground, stay in stealth, and toggle Camouflaged Hunter on. Several times today in Cyrodiil, I saw a player exploiting Camouflaged Hunter by using it in conjunction with Caltrops from the Assault AvA skill line. Unfortunately I don't think I have a video clip, but I will look through my captures just in case I did manage to catch it (and I'll edit the post appropriately). I witnessed something today that exemplified a major flaw with this skill. After buffing yourself with Rally (2H skill) and Camo Hunter while in stealth (Camo Hunter bonus and Nightblade stealth bonuses), firing a well-placed Focused Aim arrow allows even more damage for even more one-shot potential. I've been seeing something new added into this recently also, with the addition of Camouflaged Hunter into the list of buffs a ganker adds to their repertoire. It's very well known that the current meta in Cyrodiil currently is stealth ganking with a Nightblade and Rally/Focused Aim combo killing you before you even fall off your horse. Side note: The "undead and daedra" bonuses seem to affect all players in PvP as well, not sure if this is intended or not. If in stealth your next attack deals x additional Magic Damage to undead and daedra." While this ability is slotted on your action bar undead and daedra are highlighted and you gain Major Savagery which increases your Weapon Critical by 20%. ![]() Killing undead and daedra refreshes the duration of this ability. "Invoke your expertise in anatomy and enemy behavior to give your attacks a 15% chance to cause an additional x Magic Damage against undead and daedra and a 4% chance against other enemies for 12 seconds. To preface this, here's what Camouflaged Hunter's description says:
